Jewish Family Services, of Milwaukee, has appointed Tom Martin interim president and chief executive officer.
The organization provides a range of social services to families of all backgrounds in support of their health and wellbeing.
Martin, whose appointment is effective on Jan. 1, previously served as president and CEO of Family Services of Northeast Wisconsin in Green Bay. He retired from the organization, also centered on providing social services, in March 2014 after a 27-year run at its helm. During his tenure, FSNEW expanded from seven programs and just under 90 employees to more than 35 programs and a workforce of close to 400.
Before heading FSNEW, Martin was president and CEO of Boys and Girls Home and Family Service Inc., in Sioux City, Iowa, for more than 12 years.
“This is an exciting time for JFS, and I’m happy to offer my guidance and expertise during this time of transition as the agency plans for the future,” Martin said in a press release.
Martin succeeds JFS president and CEO Sylvan Leabman, who is retiring at the end of the year.
