During his real estate career, Smith has achieved more than $400 million in personal sales. He was named an associate vice president of Shorewest Realtors as a result of his consistent high levels of achievement, according to Shorewest executive vice president John Horning.

Not only has he sponsored the Milwaukee LGBT Film Festival, he has also held the opening night sponsor party for 10 years. Additionally, the LGBTQ Community Center honored him for his generosity with the naming of the Jack H. Smith library.

He has received the Milwaukee LGBTQ Community Center Circle of Pride Award as well as the Milwaukee LGBTQ Community Center Equality Award.
