Wisconsin Bank & Trust has announced that J. Cory Recknor has been elected Chairman of the bank’s Board of Directors.
Recknor, Chief Financial Officer of Research Products Corporation, was elected May 24 by the Board of Directors at Wisconsin Bank & Trust’s Annual Organization meeting. He has served on the bank’s board since 2004 and succeeds former CEO Thomas J. Wilkinson.

As CFO for Research Products Corporation, Recknor is responsible for all financial, legal and shareholder aspects of the company. He also has oversight for the Human Resources, IT, Electrical Engineering, Advanced Technology and Engineering Validation departments, and serves as the firm’s Secretary/Treasurer.
Prior to joining Research Products Corporation, Recknor was a partner at McGladrey LLP specializing in manufacturing and financial institutions. He was also a member of the firm’s National Manufacturing Practice Group.
In addition to his position on the Wisconsin Bank & Trust Board, Recknor serves on the Audit and Corporate Governance Committee of Heartland Financial USA, Inc., the parent company of Wisconsin Bank & Trust.
Recknor is active in the community, serving on the Mt. Horeb Parks & Recreation Commission and the executive committee of Coaches vs. Cancer Wisconsin. Previous service included serving as President of the Mt. Horeb Youth Soccer Club and Founder and President of the Mt. Horeb Basketball Club. Recknor has also served terms on the boards of the Madison West Town-Middleton Rotary Club, Mt. Horeb Summer Frolic and the Wisconsin Youth Company.
