H2O Hydration Health Oasis will soon bring its IV infusion therapy to Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward.
The clinic is slated for a December opening at 130 N. Jefferson St., taking over a 1,698-square-foot space previously home to BEST Fitness personal training.
It will be the second location for founder and owner Dr. Alia Fox, a certified anesthesiologist who opened H2O Hydration Health in 2017 at 17110 W. Greenfield Ave. in Brookfield.
The business provides hospital-grade IV hydration treatments for a range of ailments including hangovers, morning sickness, addiction, anemia, colds and flu, and cancer treatment side effects. Based on their health condition, customers choose from a list of “cocktails” packed with variations of vitamins and minerals.
“This is a service that was previously only available in the hospital or ER, but I am actually allowing the general public to access that in a much more comfortable setting,” Fox said.
She said the clinic eliminates common hurdles such as hours-long waits in the ER and steep hospital bills.
Having attracted a number of downtown clients at H2O in Brookfield, Fox had always planned to expand downtown. She’d been eyeing the Third Ward space since May.
“We have a lot of clients who come to us from downtown, whether it’s from work at Northwestern Mutual, Johnson Controls or people who come to Milwaukee from out of state who are staying at The Pfister Hotel, The Kimpton Journeyman, Homewood Suites by Hilton,” she said.
Summerfest and other downtown Milwaukee festivals also drive traffic from festival-goers looking for an IV pick-me-up, she said.
Fox said further expansion plans could include The Rock Sports Complex in Franklin, which is becoming a hub for sports and wellness as the home base for minor league baseball team Milwaukee Milkmen.
