Interra Health app provides virtual access to wellness tools, resources

Interra Health Inc., a Brookfield-based nationwide provider of workplace wellness programs and onsite clinics, is now offering employees of its client companies virtual access to their wellness program tools and resources through its new My Interra app.

Launched in early October, in time for open enrollment season, the free app also gives participants the ability to add incentive points, track reward status and schedule appointments, as well as 24/7 access to all of their biometric data and reports.

The biometric data, including blood pressure, body mass index, total cholesterol and more, is collected at biometric screening appointments and then entered into another Interra Health app that loads the information into its database.

“With so many people utilizing and accessing information on their phones, it’s really important for us to bring all of the critical information about their wellness programs and health to their phones,” said Interra Health marketing coordinator Melissa Naatz. “It’s with them on the go, and they can check in wherever they are to see where they’re at.”

The My Interra app also allows participants to track their reward status.

Naatz believes this increased accessibility of information will help improve the health of participants.

“It’s really easy to take with them to the doctor and say, ‘Here’s my results report,’” she said. “It’s a really easy way to start those conversations.”

The My Interra app is a mobile version of Interra Health’s online participant dashboard, found at MyInterraHealth.com, which offers the same tools and resources. The company launched an updated dashboard in September that includes a new streamlined look and an “Ask the Experts” section.

Prior to the dashboard, Interra Health mailed participants hard copies of their reports. While the company does continue to do that for a small number, Naatz said Interra has gotten away from that, resulting in cost savings and a reduced environmental impact.

Created by the company’s IT and PHP development team based in Orlando, this is Interra Health’s first app for participants. Meanwhile, Naatz said the team is already working on new developments and updates.

The My Interra app is available for download at the iTunes App Store and Google Play.
