Gurnee, Illinois-based packaging manufacturer Nosco Inc., announced this week that it plans to move its headquarters 10 miles north to Pleasant Prairie, and bring 300 jobs with it.
Nosco will occupy a 170,000-square-foot facility at 11200 88th Ave. in the LakeView Corporate Park. It plans to be operational there in the spring of 2021.
The facility will provide offset cartons, digital labels and serve as the company's headquarters. It will also house Nosco's graphic services, solutions engineering and administrative staff.
"We're excited to launch this new site to serve our customers even better," said Craig Curran, Nosco president. "It has been a long journey to find the right place for Nosco's future, but we are certain this location will set us up for growth and success moving forward."
Nosco's Grunee and Bridgeview, Illinois facilities will remain operational to support existing carton, label, literature and commercial print business. The company will close its site in Waukegan and former sites for Haapanen Brothers, a Gurnee-based company acquired by Nosco earlier this year.
Nosco is a a subsidiary of Deerfield, Illinois-based Holden Industries, Inc.
Kenosha County continues to attract businesses from Illinois. Mundelein, Illinois-based chemicals manufacturerRealChem Manufacturing Inc. announced recently that it is planning to relocate to Pleasant Prairie by the end of the year.
