Five employees from Glendale-based accounting firm Goossen & Schultz CPAs LLP have joined Naperville, Illinois-based accounting and professional services company Sikich LLP.
Founded in 1982, Sikich is the 28th-largest CPA firm in the U.S., with more than 750 employees nationwide. It provides accounting, technology, investment banking and advisory services.
Sikich hired on Mick Goossen, Bill Nortman, Tammy Lindvig, Steve Grunewald and Rebecca Giombi, effective Jan. 1. Goossen and Nortman are now partners at Sikich. The former Goossen & Schultz employees provide domestic tax return preparation, advisory and expatriate tax services for both companies and individuals.
Goossen & Schultz is based in Glendale and now has nine employees. It had an office in Wauwatosa, which has now closed. The employees hired away now work out of Sikich’s Milwaukee-area office in Brookfield.
“This is a good way of growing organically and offering expanded service lines as it relates to our tax practice, and more depth in our tax services,” said Mark Sobczak, partner-in-charge of Sikich’s Milwaukee office.
“We are excited to join Sikich,” Goossen said. “Our clients will benefit from access to the firm’s wide breadth of services and significant resources.”
