Ginny Plumeau

Waukesha’s civil engineering firm, Rukert & Mielke, Inc. recently hired Ginny Plumeau, REM as its new enviormental services team leader

Plumeau is a senior ecologist, registered environmental manager, and a regional leader in ecological services and permitting. She’s led teams in siting, permit planning, environmental assessments (EAs), and all aspects of critical issues analysis related to development. Plumeau has 30 years of technical and leadership experience related to land use and development projects involving: wetland assessment and permitting, SWPPP planning and compliance monitoring, EAs, wildlife studies, and habitat evaluations.

Since 2005, Plumeau has shared her expertise as an instructor of a variety of courses at the university level, including classes on environmental risk management issues and Wisconsin wetland & waterway permits. Plumeau also developed and instructed courses for natural resource management and design elements, as well as leading a certification course annually for Wisconsin Sediment and Erosion Control Inspectors (WISECI) at the University of Wisconsin.

Plumeau works with project owners in a creative, collaborative manner. She has developed a strong reputation throughout the Midwest thanks to her incredible ability to overcome challenging environmental project constraints.
