Geneva National, a resort and residential community, along Lake Como near Lake Geneva in Walworth County, recently acquired the nearby
The Ridge Hotel, according to a news release. The sale price was not disclosed.
Geneva National Resort includes three golf courses, designed by pro golf legends Arnold Palmer, Gary Player and Lee Trevino, cottages and suites and the Hunt Club Steakhouse.
The addition of The Ridge Hotel adds 146 hotel rooms, a marina, 20,000 square feet of event space and three food and beverage outlets to Geneva National.
“Our immediate plans are to rebrand the existing hotel to ‘
Lodge Geneva National’ and invest the additional capital required to provide an upscale-yet-welcoming experience consistent with our iconic and award-winning lifestyle brand,” said
Garth Chambers II, president of Geneva National.
Renovations to the hotel will include an upgraded grand arrival area, modernized guest rooms and enhanced landscaping.
“Lodge Geneva National is the perfect base camp for enjoying the best that the area has to offer, including access to world-class golf and three pristine freshwater lakes for sailing, swimming, fishing, paddling and powerboating,” said Geneva National chief operating officer
Glen Murray. “We are beyond thrilled to usher in the next chapter of Geneva National’s history as the most hospitable address for escaping to what we believe is Lake Geneva’s most hospitable address for lake life and on-course adventures.”
