Waukesha-based Generac Holdings Inc., a designer and manufacturer of generators and other engine powered products, has announced the appointment of Tim Sullivan as a member of its board of directors.
Sullivan also will join the compensation committee of the board.
“We are excited to have Tim join the board of Generac,” said Aaron Jagdfeld, president and chief executive officer. “His extensive background and breadth of experience, particularly with growing industrial based manufacturing companies, will serve as a valuable resource for Generac as we focus on executing our Powering Ahead strategic plan.”
Sullivan currently serves as a special consultant to Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker and as an executive advisor to CCMP Capital. Sullivan previously served as president and CEO of Bucyrus International Inc. from 2004 to 2011 and also served as president and COO from 2000 to 2004.
Prior to Bucyrus International, he was the CEO of United Container Company.
He presently serves as a trustee and non-executive director of Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company Inc. and is a member of the boards of directors of the Bucyrus Foundation, Aurora Health Care, Inc., Carroll University, Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce and St. Ann Center for Intergenerational Care.
Sullivan is a graduate of Carroll College and earned a master’s degree in international management from the American Graduate School of International Management.
