Brookfield-based registered investment advisor Francis Investment Counsel LLC has expanded to Minnesota.
The company on Feb. 1 opened an office in Lake Elmo, a suburb of Minneapolis-St. Paul. It has hired David Mandel as vice president-investment consultant and regional director to lead the branch.
A Minnesota native with a degree in HRD, insurance, risk management from University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, Mandel has more than 15 years of experience in retirement plan investment consulting, most recently as an area vice president for Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. He also previously worked as a senior account executive at Gardner & White Corp., and as a sales consultant at Esultants Web Services.
“The conflict-free investment services we provide to plan sponsors are truly unique in the retirement plan consulting space,” Mandel said. “I want to bring that incredible work to more organizations in the Minneapolis community and across the nation.”
Mandel will be joined by administrative support in the Lake Elmo office, which is located at 8530 Eagle Point Boulevard.
Francis Investment Counsel offers investment consulting, fiduciary training and financial wellness services to retirement plan sponsors and participants. The company now has a total of 20 employees.
“We currently serve several Minnesota clients, so the Minneapolis branch is a natural next step in the growth of our firm,” said Mike Francis, president of Francis Investment Counsel. “We look to continue that growth, not only regionally, but also on a national scale.”
