First Business Bank charity golf tournament to be held Sept. 26

Event will raise money for a local charitable organization

First Business Bank will hold its third annual team golf tournament on Sept. 26 at Westmoor Country Club in Brookfield to raise money for a local charitable organization.

The event, called the First Business Invitational for Charity, gives local business and nonprofit leaders an opportunity to compete in two-person teams for a chance to win thousands of dollars for the charity of their choice.

Last year, two teams representing local charities — Meta House and the Milwaukee Rescue Mission — tied for first place and each received a check for $9,250. In 2014, the first-place team won $18,000 to Lifesong for Orphans.

This year, if the event fills up completely, the team who takes first could win more than $50,000 for their charity.

Dave Vetta, president and CEO of First Business Bank – Milwaukee, said in a statement released Thursday that for business leaders who like to golf, the tournament is a way to pursue their passion, meet other business leaders and support their charity.

The tournament will be played in a best ball format and the cost to play is $1,000 per team. Interested golfers can register on the event website.
