Financial Services Industry People in the News

Robert W. Baird & Co. has named John Mehan managing director and manager of its Milwaukee public finance operations. Keith Kolb, managing director, will remain director of public finance. Promoting Mehan will allow Kolb to expand the public finance department, the company believes.

“We are excited that John has agreed to lead the Milwaukee Public Finance office,” said Kolb. “Throughout his years of service to Baird’s public finance clients, John has demonstrated deep expertise and a solid track record of success.  His co-workers and professional peers look to him as a leader, and are confident in his ability to continue Baird’s success and growth in Wisconsin and around the country.”

Mehan will continue to work on a wide variety of taxable and tax-exempt municipal financings. He has worked on projects including Lambeau Field, Milwaukee Public Schools – Neighborhood Schools Initiative as well as the Bayshore Mall and Milwaukee World Festival. Mehan has assisted private and public colleges and universities such as the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Concordia University, Marquette University, Milwaukee School of Engineering, and Milwaukee Area Technical College.

David Werner, president of Park Bank, has been named to the board of directors of the Council of Small Business Executives (COSBE). The COSBE is operated by the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce (MMAC).

As manager, Cobb will oversee the daily operations of the Silvernail Road Office, including customer service and new accounts, lending, personnel and business development.
