Milwaukee-based Fighting Back, Inc. announced it will award a total of $600,000 to local social service and education programs in 2010 to support alcohol, tobacco, and other drug abuse prevention programs.
"We are very pleased to announce these grant recipients, and to be able to continue supporting them as we move forward as a division of Jewish Family Services," said Tasha Jenkins, vice president of Fighting Back, Jewish Family Services, Inc. "We are confident each program will prove to be a positive force in meeting the needs of the communities they serve." Fighting Back recently merged with Jewish Family Services, but will retain its mission, name, services and staff, and will continue to fund social service and education programs for low-income and at-risk individuals and families throughout the greater Milwaukee community while operating as a division of Jewish Family Services.
