“Charles’ bold and insightful perspective on water challenges is matchless, and brings the Water Summit to a whole new level for our attendees,” said Dean Amhaus, president and chief executive officer of The Water Council. “The Summit audience will be able to get a glimpse of what it might be like to observe an engaging dinner conversation between Charles and some of the water sector’s leading professionals.”

The 2016 Water Summit is set for June 14 and 15 and is themed “Establishing a Water Resilient City.” Organizers have decided to do away with the breakout conference used in the past and will instead put on a program that combines brief, provocative presentations with conversations between Fishman and leaders from the water industry. Areas of focus for the conference include resilient infrastructure and environment, economics, health, policy and strategy.

“The world of water is right at the start of an age of transformation, even revolution — citizens and elected officials are paying attention to water problems as never before, and Milwaukee’s Summit should be filled with energy, innovative ideas, and people eager to take home ideas for how to create a world of ‘smart water,’ ” said Fishman, author of “The Big Thirst: The secret life & turbulent future of water.”

Registration for the summit is now open. More information is available at www.thewatersummit.com.
