The Ozaukee Washington Land Trust will host a two-day education event for businesses and consumers on Friday, May 1 and Saturday, May 2 at the Mequon Nature Preserve PieperPower Education Center, 8200 W. County Line Rd.
The weekend will focus on green strategies for business and will include a panel discussion by Kevin Shafer, executive director of MMSD; Christine Nuemberg, mayor of Mequon; Norm Doll, Pieper Electric president emeritus and UW adjunct professor; and Randy Stark, director of Facilities for West Bend Mutual Insurance Co. John Torinus, chairman of Serigraph, Inc., will be the keynote speaker for the event.
Other activities planned for Saturday include, a bird walk, plant workshops, tree planting, a scavenger hunt, nature walks and other activities. The event is free and open to the public, however, pre-registration is required.
