Country music star Eric Church announced Wednesday that he will headline a special show at American Family Field in Milwaukee on Saturday, May 28.
Milwaukee is the first of a few surprise additions to Church’s ‘Gather Again Tour,’ which had already been scheduled to stop in Green Bay for two nights in March. He teased the announcement Tuesday afternoon with a tweet depicting the outline of Am Fam Field and released the news first to his Church Choir fan club.
He addressed local fans in a video on Twitter Wednesday morning: “We did not forget about you. It’s one of my favorite cities we’ve ever played in. We’ve always had a special relationship there, and you know I could not leave you out,” he said, adding the show will be bigger and better than his last Milwaukee appearance, which was in 2019 at Fiserv Forum.
For the Milwaukee concert, Church will be joined by nine-time Grammy nominee and reigning CMA Vocal Duo of the Year Brothers Osborne plus MusicRow Breakout Artist of the Year Parker McCollum.
Tickets for the show, dubbed ‘One Hell of a Night,’ go on sale to the general public Friday, Feb. 18 at 10 a.m. Members of the Church Choir will have early access to tickets beginning Friday, Feb. 11.
“Eric Church is one of the most entertaining and magnetic talents on stage,” said Rick Schlesinger, Milwaukee Brewers president of business operations. “We welcome Eric to American Family Field and look forward to an amazing night of entertainment at the ballpark.”
Church is a seven-time ACM Award winner, four-time CMA Award winner (including the 2020 award for Entertainer of the Year) and 10-time Grammy nominee.
His show marks the second country star booked for a concert at the Brewers’ home stadium this spring. Kenny Chesney will perform at American Family Field on May 14. It will be his fifth performance there, having headlined at the stadium in 2018, 2016, 2013, and performed as part of Farm Aid’s 25th anniversary concert there in 2010.
