Eppstein Uhen has more than 160 employees with offices in Milwaukee, Madison and Des Moines.
Scott Kindness, the owner of KINDNESS Architecture + Planning and a former Eppstein Uhen employee, will become the director of Eppstein Uhen’s Living Environments studio. That studio has 25 employees who work with multi-family, mixed use and senior living clients.
Kindness worked for Eppstein Uhen’s residential studio for nine years in the 1990s.
“It’s a wonderful opportunity (to return to Eppstein Uhen),” Kindness said. “I have found that we are not just like-minded, we are same-minded in the way we approach our clients and people. During my career I have found my passion in mentoring others, and this leadership role allows me to make a larger impact in the life of staff, clients, and the community”
Kindness was a co-owner of Workshop Architects from 1998-2008 and the owner of KINDNESS Architecture + Planning since 2008.
“Over the years we have kept in contact with Scott and are impressed with what he and his firm have accomplished,” said Rich Tennessen, president of Eppstein Uhen. “Adding Scott and his employees allows us to offer additional capacity and capabilities to our clients in and outside of Wisconsin.”
“I have known Scott for many years and have followed his work with admiration,” said Eppstein Uhen chief executive officer Greg Uhen. “He’s a great guy, and a great fit. We are delighted to have him back on our team.”
