Dr. Michael Thompson, a board-certified hematologist and oncologist with Aurora Health Care, Milwaukee, has been named a Fellow of the American Society of Clinical Oncology by the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), recognized for his work in the field of oncology.
Thompson, who serves, as the medical director for the Early Phase Cancer Research Program and is also co-director of Aurora’s Oncology Precision Medicine Program, sees patients primarily at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee. He is an active clinical researcher whose interest includes hematologic or blood cancers, and is interested in developing new treatments for all cancers.
“Dr. Thompson is a well-deserving recipient of this honor from ASCO, as he works tirelessly to support the needs of cancer patients throughout the region,” said Dr. James Weese, vice president of Aurora Cancer Care.
