Donald Driver, all-time leading receiver for the Green Bay Packers and the 2012 Dancing with the Stars champion, will make an appearance at the 2012 campaign finale for the United Performing Arts Fund on Tuesday, June 26.
UPAF announced a fundraising goal of $10 million in April.
“Donald Driver is the quintessential example of a professional athlete that has leveraged the performing arts in his life as a path to achievement,” said Deanna Tillisch, president and CEO of UPAF. “He is a national role model for balancing and utilizing the convergence of athletics, the arts and hard work to realize success in his life, career and most recently on Dancing with the Stars.”
David Lubar, president and chief executive officer of Lubar & Co., and Carlene Ziegler, managing director of Artisan Partners co-chaired the 2012 UPAF Campaign and will host the finale, which will be held at The Milwaukee Repertory’s Quadracci Powerhouse Theater.
“We are proud to have Donald as our guest in bringing prominence to the hard work that our business and community partners have put into this year’s Campaign and to celebrate the generous support of our more than 20,000 donors,” said Lubar.
Driver’s appearance has been made possible through gifts from Madeleine and David Lubar and Associated Bank.
“Associated Bank is committed to helping UPAF build a vibrant regional hub of culture, arts and entertainment,” said John Halechko, senior vice president at Associated Bank. “Donald Driver will help underscore the positive impact the performing arts have on children and the community.”
Tickets to the Finale were made available to the general public on Wednesday, June 13, at www.upaf.org/rsvp2012finalepublic. Reservations will need to be made in advance.
