Brookfield-based GSF Mortgage is honored to have general manager Debbie Beier named among MPA Magazine’s Elite Women of 2016. This award spotlights 100 women who are breaking down the financial industry’s last remaining barriers.
Only making up 60% of the global financial services workforce, only 14% of women in the industry are board members and just 2% hold CEO positions. Over the last three months, MPA’s researchers have sifted through nominations and polled readers to narrow down the top 100 elite woman. All of these women are shaping and changing the face of the mortgage industry.
Beier has been making waves in the mortgage industry for 24 years and has spent the past seven years at GSF Mortgage. She started her career as an account executive, building the company’s wholesale division and has held varied positions within the industry throughout her career, including jobs in sales and the wholesale and retail channels of mortgage lending. In her current position as general manager, she manages all of the company’s day-to-day operations. Outside of GSF Mortgage, Beier has been a Girl Scout Troop leader for the past 12 years and also serves on the advisory board with Lenders One.
“A word to describe Debbie Beier is “elite”. This award is fitting in the name but does not scratch the surface of the type of individual Debbie Beier is. She is a pillar of our company and a person I rely on the most on a day-to-day basis; she has never once not delivered at the highest level.
Her energy and effort is astounding. She is that individual that does more in the morning than most do in a day.
