D.B. Tax & Financial Services expanding in downtown South Milwaukee

D.B. Tax & Financial Services is expanding into the former Tai Ping Restaurant building in South Milwaukee.

The accounting and wealth management firm has purchased the former restaurant at 1127 Milwaukee Ave., and will expand this winter, said South Milwaukee Mayor Erik Brooks.

The work includes rebuilding the restaurant facade to match its current building and extensive interior remodeling.

The expansion will allow D.B., 1125 Milwaukee Ave., to add four employees to its current 11.

This will be an $800,000 investment in downtown South Milwaukee from a business with longstanding roots in the community, Brooks said.

“I hope D.B. is the first of many projects,” Brooks said. “We’ve got some really good things happening from an economic development standpoint, and I’m really excited for this one to come to fruition,” Brooks said. “We’ve been laying the groundwork and there has been a lot of positive momentum downtown and across the city. A number of businesses are interested in growing and we want to work with them to help them grow.”
