The Racine-based manufacturer eliminated the vice president, commercial industrial solutions and COO position – Bowser previously held the combined position, according to a press release. "Removing the COO role will allow me to connect directly with our Global Operations and CIS organizations, enabling us to assess longer-term organizational structures to best support our strategy of becoming a more diversified industrial company," Modine president and chief executive officer Neil Brinker said in a statement. "I would like to thank Scott for his contributions and years of service to Modine and wish him success in the future." Tom Drahos, who has been with Modine for 27 years, will now manage global operations for the manufacturer. Scott Miller, who has served in a variety of leadership roles at Modine for 22 years, will assume responsibility for the CIS business segment. In November, the company announced plans to sell the liquid-cooled portion of its automotive business to Dana Inc. for $1. Modine in the same month named Brinker as its new president and chief executive officer. Brinker came to Modine from Colorado-based Advanced Energy Industries Inc. where he was president and chief operating officer since May 2020. He joined AE in June 2018 as executive vice president and chief operating officer. Brinker took over for Mick Lucareli, who had served as interim president and chief executive officer. Lucareli had served in the interim role since Tom Burke stepped down as CEO in August.
