The new office on Corporate Center Drive will accommodate Delta Defense’s expanding workforce, which is expected to add more than 130 new jobs over the next five years.

The company, which was founded in 2004 by Tim Schmidt, provides insurance and training materials for firearms owners. Delta Defense also publishes Concealed Carry Magazine and owns the nationally syndicated radio program, Armed American Radio.

“We’re thrilled to have a new space that will accommodate our growth from an employee and business perspective while also allowing us to remain in the community where we have our roots,” Schmidt said.

The company currently occupies 30,000 square feet at its main headquarters at 300 S. 6th St. in downtown West Bend and at a fulfillment center in the Northwest Business Park in Jackson.

Delta Defense moved its headquarters in 2013 from Jackson to the former Museum of Wisconsin Art building in West Bend. The company said it has had annual sales growth of 45 percent and a 60 percent increase in employment during the last two years.

Construction on the new headquarters began in May, and is expected to be completed in early 2017.

Delta Defense is working with Milwaukee-based architecture firm Kahler Slater and Minneapolis-based development firm The Opus Group to develop, design and build the new facility.
