Construction is underway on Motorsport Villas of Elkhart Lake, a private, 32-unit multi-family residential development adjacent to the La Budde Creek State wildlife area in the Village of Elkhart Lake.

Billed as a “car condominium” project, Motorsport Villas is an eight-structure community close to the Road America racetrack.

“(The site) provides an unmatched opportunity to merge motorsports, race heritage, and all things motoring with a place for enthusiasts to live and vacation amongst automotive art, as well as stay year-round,” said Bart Wolf, president of Wolf Developments, the developer of the project. “Motorsports Villas residents will now be part of the continued legacy of the area, whether they enjoy the return of Indy Car racing to Road America, the vintage race car parades, or the Villas’ own events.”

Owners have the option of living either full- or part-time in the Motorsport Villa community.  More than one-third of the 32 units have been sold, Wolf said.

Senior lending for the development was provided by Hiawatha National Bank of Sheboygan, Architectural Design was prepared by Abacus Architects of Sheboygan and construction services provided by Quasius Construction, Inc.

The project was created, in part, through a $650,000 tax incremental financing district created by the Village of Elkhart Lake. Construction is expected to be completed in May.
