Kenosha-based Riley Construction Company Inc. has completed work on a 600,000-square-foot warehouse and broken ground on a second spec industrial building at First Park 94, a business park located on 309 acres northeast of county Highway H and 38th Street in the Town of Somers in Kenosha County.
Chicago-based First Industrial Realty Trust Inc. is the developer of the buildings and first announced in August 2015 that it would develop First Park 94 in Kenosha County. First Industrial acquired the site for $13.4 million last year.
“First Park 94 is extremely well-located with ready highway access enabling future tenants to serve a very large population base,” said Adam Moore, regional director of First Industrial.
“In addition, the layout offers great flexibility in design for build-to-suit requirements as well as future speculative construction,” Moore said. “Our spec building offers state-of-the-art features such as 36-foot, clear windows, ample trailer parking and a modern lighting package that includes light tubes to harness daylight.”
Riley Construction Company broke ground in August 2015 on the first 600,000-square-foot industrial distribution warehouse, completing the building in June. On Aug. 23, construction began on the second 600,000-square-foot building next to the first building.
In total, First Park 94 could accommodate up to 4.6 million square feet of development.
