City issues RFP for residential development

The City of Milwaukee has issued a request for proposals (RFP) for development of a vacant five-acre property at the corner of North 20th and Walnut streets. City officials want to see market-rate homes built on the site. The property is located near other residential developments that have occurred in recent years, including CityHomes, Lindsay Heights, Cherry Court and Lindsay Commons. More than 250 new single-family homes have been built in the surrounding neighborhood in recent years, according to city officials. More information about the RFP is available at www.mkedcd.org/realestate/20thWalnut/RFP.html.
