Chick-fil-A proposed for Glendale

Chick-fil-A

A new Chick-fil-A restaurant has been proposed for a site along North Port Washington Road, just south of West Silver Spring Drive in the City of Glendale.

Chick-fil-A plans to build a 5,000-square-foot stand-alone restaurant on a 1.29-acre commercial lot at 5464 N. Port Washington Road, according to documents submitted to the city.

The property is situated in between Boston Market restaurant to the north and Fast Track Oil Change Center to the south. Project plans include razing the site’s existing structure, which houses Worth Realty, Mail n More, and Bronson Insurance Services among other businesses.

The new restaurant would include two drive-thru lanes and outdoor seating. A 64-stall parking lot would also be built.

Its target opening is set for fall of 2020, with construction beginning in spring that year.

The proposal will be reviewed by the city’s Common Council tonight.

Since entering the Wisconsin market in 2014, Chick-fil-A has seen rapid growth in the Milwaukee area. It currently has restaurants in Oak Creek, Mount Pleasant, Pleasant Prairie, Greendale, West Allis, Pewaukee, Brookfield, and a vendor stand at Fiserv Forum in downtown Milwaukee.
