Plano Molding Company of Plano, Ill. has acquired Frabill Inc. of Jackson. Corporate Financial Advisors of Milwaukee represented Frabill in the transaction.

The Senate voted the legislation through on December 24, 2009, on a straight party-line vote: 60-39. The House vote on March 21, 2010 was less partisan and much closer: 219-212, with 34 Democrats voting nay. The bill’s ostensible purpose was to establish universal health coverage and provide health insurance for 30 million uninsured Americans.

Palermo’s workers on strike

Dozens of plant workers at Milwaukee-based Palermo's Pizza are on strike and say the company has engaged in union-busting tactics as employees tried to form a union, according to Voces De La Frontera, an immigrant rights group and low wage worker center that is working with the Palermo's employees. The workers walked off the job 15 days ago.
