Palermo workers launch national boycott effort

As the worker strike at Palermo Villa Inc. enters its third month, workers urged customers at Costco Wholesale Corp. grocery stores to boycott the Palermo’s Pizza products manufactured at the company.

The banking industry has a problem.

When the economy is good, banks are flush with money and are willing lenders. Competitors make less than prudent short term decisions and bankers feel they must follow suit in the lemming- like pursuit of profits.

Milwaukee County gets $3.2 million in federal funds for buses

Milwaukee County will receive $3.24 million from the federal government for buses and bus infrastructure, Sen. Herb Kohl, D-Wisconsin, announced.
The state of Wisconsin is getting a total of $11.78 million in federal funds for buses, including the money for Milwaukee County, Kohl said.
