Fast-casual seafood chain Captain D’s will open its second Milwaukee-area franchise location later this month.
The restaurant will open soon at 3326 W. Capitol Drive, near Century City Business Park. Captain D’s also has a restaurant at 7320 Good Hope Road, which opened in February 2018.
The Nashville, Tenn.-based company and its franchisees operate more than 530 restaurants in 22 states, located mostly in southeastern region of the U.S.
Both Milwaukee franchise locations are owned by Valerie Daniels-Carter, president and founder of Milwaukee-based V&J Holding Cos. Inc. The company is one is of the largest multi-brand restaurant franchise operators in the country.
A third Wisconsin restaurant is also in the works, but it wouldn’t open for a few years and its specific location has yet to be determined, said Robert Jones, Captain D’s vice president of franchise operations. That location is being franchised by Tina Patel and Hardik Patel of Sheiva 11 Inc.
The company said efforts are currently underway for greater expansion across the Midwest.
Along with a second Milwaukee restaurant, Captain D’s this year will add two locations to its growing Illinois portfolio and open a location in Chillicothe, Ohio.
