Iverson Language Associates of Milwaukee has opened its first regional sales office, in Portland, Ore. Iverson will provide translation, project management, knowledge management, print and digital communication solutions and conference interpretation to its client partners on the West Coast. The company was founded here in 1986 and has clients such as GE Medical, Harley-Davidson, Texas Instruments, Kohler, Motorola and Royal Caribbean.
Mercury Communication Partners has moved its offices to Brookfield from Elm Grove. The agency needed more space to accommodate growth, said owner Bonnie Moyer Topczewski. The new offices are at 2511 N. 124th St. Current agency-of-record clients include Antiqua Bay Resort and Conference Center, Official Waterpark Resorts of Wisconsin Dells, Riverview Park and Waterworld, School Sisters of Notre Dame, and Gray’s Child Care. Mercury also does project work for other clients.
Aldrian/Guszkowski Architects, Engineers and Planners of Elm Grove is marking its ninth anniversary in business by introducing a new look for the firm, with a Web site and change in office space to follow, according to the firm’s president, Gene Guszkowski. “AG Architects has gone through a successful year of transitions,” he said. “We felt this was the perfect opportunity to launch a new look. Over the past eight years, we have focused on developments outside of Wisconsin. But now we are excited about new work in the Milwaukee area. We look forward to the start of significant senior living developments as well as multi-use developments similar to our future home at Lefeber Point.” That development is an 18,000-square-foot facility in Wauwatosa’s village district.
Walzak Advertising & Design, a marketing communications firm in downtown Milwaukee, has changed its name to Walzak Marketing Communications. The change recognizes the firm’s expanding marketing capabilities including multi-media and Web design.
J&B Construction of Milwaukee has started a roofing division called J&B Roofing & Sheet Metal. It will specialize in low-slope and flat-roof applications for industrial, commercial and residential buildings. The division is headed by Jerry Wycklendt of Hartford. The business is at 4380 N. Green Bay Ave.
In response to growing business opportunities in the Madison area, the Sprecher Bertalot & Co. marketing communications firm, headquartered in Milwaukee, has opened a branch office in Madison. The new office is overseen by partner and creative director Emil Bertalot. The firm also recently moved in Milwaukee, to a century-old Victorian home at 1863 N. Farwell Ave.
Olympus Flag & Banner, a manufacturer of mascots, flags and custom printing, has moved from its Brown Deer facility at 8939 N. 55th St. to 9000 S. Heather Ave. in Milwaukee. The move out of its 31,000-square-foot leased facility to the company-owned 51,000-square-foot facility was completed Nov. 13. Olympus is the creator of many well known characters such as the Milwaukee Sausages at Milwaukee Brewers games, all of the McDonaldland characters for McDonald’s Corp., and various Kellogg’s characters. It produces flags and banners for clients such as Miller Brewing, Walt Disney World Co., and Universal Studios.
Group II Communications of Hales Corners has been awarded a contract to supply Wells Fargo items for its WellsWare catalog. The company has been providing brand identity items for Fortune 500 companies since 1985. The company has 125 employees, notes Bill McKenna, Group II Communications president. Group II Communications won the contract over 21 other suppliers.
