Drent is new president of Milwaukee Kiwanis Club
The Kiwanis Club of Milwaukee has installed its new officers and directors, including David Drent, executive director of the Milwaukee County War Memorial, as its new president. Judith Smith, director of operations at Northwestern Mutual Insurance Co. Inc. and Holter Financial Group, is the immediate past president of the club, and Debra Usinger, director of retail operations at Fred Usinger Inc., is the president-elect. Other Kiwanis officers include: vice president Steven Roberts, partner and vice president of marketing at City Press; secretary Elizabeth Nicols, executive director of Milwaukee Downtown BID #2; and treasurer James Nortman, insurance agent at Robertson Ryan & Associates Inc.
Business leaders nominated for MMAC board
The nominating committee for the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce (MMAC) has proposed three people to be elected as new members of the organization’s board of directors. The new nominees are: Carl Brown, president of Red Brown Kle’ Marketing Communications, an advertising and marketing communications agency, Jeffrey Joerres, chairman and CEO of Manpower Inc., and Colin Lancaster, president and chief operating officer of Stark Investments, responsible for the execution of the strategic vision and the overall administration of the firm. The following directors are up for re-election for a second three-year term on the MMAC board: Tina Chang, SysLogic Inc.; Gerardo Gonzalez, Gonzalez, Saggio & Harlan LLP; James Popp, Chase-Wisconsin/Minnesota; Michael Russek, Astronautics Corp. of America; Mark Vachon, GE Healthcare; and James Ziemer, Harley-Davidson Inc. The MMAC board will consider the nominations at its meeting on Monday, Oct. 27.
