Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band will perform at the BMO Harris Bradley Center in downtown Milwaukee on March 3, 2016.
The show will be part of Springsteen’s “The River Tour.” The announcement of the tour coincides with today’s release of “The Ties That Bind: The River Collection,” a comprehensive look at the era of the 1980 “The River” album. The River Tour is the first for Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band since the 2014 High Hopes Tour. The original The River Tour began Oct. 3, 1980, two weeks before the release of Springsteen’s fifth album.
The March 3 concert will be Springsteen’s first performance in Milwaukee since 2009, and the eighth time playing the BMO Harris Bradley Center. He is the only artist to have performed at the Bradley Center that many times.
“Bruce fans throughout the region have waited six long years for the chance to see Bruce and the Band reprise his unforgettably moving 2009 Born to Run album show. We join his legions of fans young and old in welcoming Bruce back for this historic eighth visit to the BMO Harris Bradley Center. He has played this venue more than any other artist, and this show is sure to be a special night for his fans and for all of us at the center,” said Steve Costello, the arena’s president and CEO. “We hope fans throughout the community find this to be an outstanding addition to an already star-studded lineup of performances this season.”
Other shows planned for the BMO Harris Bradley Center in 2016 include: The Who (March 21), Janet Jackson (June 5) and Maroon 5 (Oct. 1).
Tickets for the March 3 Springsteen show go on sale Friday, Dec. 11 at 10 a.m.
