BloodCenter offering Brewers tickets to donors

During BloodCenter of Wisconsin’s 13th annual Big League Blood Drive, scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 26, and Wednesday, Aug. 27, the nonprofit will thank donors with a voucher good for two tickets to a September Brewers game.

Vouchers awarded to donors will be redeemable for the Brewers’ Sept. 4 game against the St. Louis Cardinals or the team’s Sept. 10 game against the Miami Marlins.

The blood drive will be held from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. both days on Brewers’ grounds, Miller Park, located at 1 Brewers Way in Milwaukee.

BloodCenter aims to draw more than 1,000 donors throughout the two-day drive. The need for blood typically ramps up around Labor Day weekend, according to the nonprofit.

During the drive, the Klement’s Famous Racing Sausages will make an appearance and take photos with donors from 9 to 10 a.m. each day.

The drive will also feature complimentary parking, childcare and refreshments.
