Milwaukee-based Beyond Vision recently received a U.S. patent recognizing its uniquely designed privacy filter.
Made by blind employees with 3M materials, the privacy filters help safeguard data on screens by blocking visual hackers from side views.
Beyond Vision, formerly called Wiscraft Inc., is part of a national network of about 100 companies that employ the blind. About half of its approximately 90 employees are blind, one-third of whom are completely blind and the other two-thirds of whom have varying degrees of blindness.
