The South Beloit School Board issued bidding documents this week to contractors with the intent to start construction on the new South Beloit Junior High School Based Health Center.
Construction is to begin this summer when students leave school and should be completed by fall of 2013, according to Lynn Grover, South Beloit High School health coordinator.
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Health Resources and Services Administration awarded the South Beloit School Based Health Center a $500,000 School Based Health Center Capital Grant. Grover said more than half of the grant will go toward the renovation of the South Beloit Junior High School Based Health Center (SBHC).
