Badger Meter to discuss Racine Federated acquisition

Badger Meter Inc. will hold its 2012 annual meeting of shareholders at Racine Federated Inc. on Friday, April 27 at 8:30 a.m.

Milwaukee-based Badger Meter, which makes flow measurement and control products, acquired Racine-based water flow meter manufacturer Racine Federated in February 2012.
Badger Meter’s annual report, “Grow with the Flow,” will focus on the acquisition and what it means for the company.
The acquisition of Racine Federated has greatly increased Badger Meter’s industrial flow measurement capabilities, with new products, new markets and an established distribution channel. The company plans to grow in the building automation, oil and gas, water and wastewater, petrochemical and other process industries, according to the report.
“We not only expect the acquisition to be accretive to earnings in 2012, but we also expect to see significant synergies in our joint technology development programs, in our manufacturing and administrative functions and in our sales and marketing channels,” said chairman, president and CEO Richard Meeusen in the report. “Racine Federated provides Badger Meter with several new flow technologies, as well as a skilled management team and efficient workforce.”
Badger CFO Rick Johnson will present the report and discuss financial results for the company.
There will also be a tour of the new subsidiary following the meeting.
