Aurora Health Care is collaborating with UW Health to offer pediatric specialty services in Green Bay and Oshkosh beginning Jan. 1.
The services will include neurosurgery, urology, pulmonology and nephrology at Aurora BayCare Medical Center campus in Green Bay and the Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh campus.
One in five Wisconsin newborns is born in an Aurora hospital, including Aurora BayCare Medical Center and Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh. This collaboration will offer an Aurora health system option for families.
Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin-Fox Valley is based in Neenah.
“Families will no longer need to travel long distances for this care, which is so important when the health of a child is at stake.” said Kevin Dahlman, MD, chair of Aurora Children’s Health.
Milwaukee-based Aurora, the state’s largest hospital system, and UW Health began collaborating in 2013. UW Health is the brand name for University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics and the University of Wisconsin Medical Foundation, the clinical practice of the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, in Madison.
