A Glendale-based asset management firm plans to move its office to the 330 Kilbourn office complex (formerly known as Plaza East) in downtown Milwaukee.
Campbell Newman Asset Management Inc. has leased 4,529 square feet on the 11th floor of the building at 330 E. Kilbourn Street. Matt Fahey and Dan Wroblewski of Colliers International brokered the deal.
The firm is currently leasing about 3,000 square feet at 4425 N. Port Washington Road.
“We need more space and also thought it would be nice to be in the central business district,” said Mary Brown, president and chief investment officer at Campbell Newman.
The company will move by Aug. 1.
Campell Newman was founded in 1977, and was originally located in the U.S. Bank building downtown, until 1987, when it relocated to Mequon. After spending about 25 years in Mequon, the company moved to Glendale.
Moving back downtown will help recruit future employees, Brown said.
“It is also more convenient when we have out of town clients,” she said.
Campbell Newman currently has seven employees and will be hiring more, Brown said.
Last fall, New York-based Monster Worldwide Inc., moved its Monster Solution Center from Brown Deer Road on the northwest side of Milwaukee to the 330 Kilbourn office complex.
Osteria Del Mondo also recently announced it would reopen in the ground floor of 330 Kilbourn in the summer of 2018.
