The School Sisters of St. Francis, a community of Catholic sisters, plan to build a 72-unit affordable apartment building on the grounds of the sisters’ St. Joseph Center campus at 1501 S. Layton Blvd., on the south side of Milwaukee.

The School sisters of St. Francis plan to break ground on the project this spring and complete construction in 2013.
