Another strip club proposed on Old World Third downtown

Applicants are part of Silk Exotic and Buzdum family

A third attempt is being made to open a strip club on Old World Third Street in downtown Milwaukee.

730 N. Old World Third is where several attempts have been made to open a strip club.

This time, another member of the Buzdum family has come forward, Radomir Buzdum, 59, of Watertown, with business partners who are connected to Silk Exotic Gentlemen’s Club, Joseph Modl, of Germantown and Scott Krahn of Hartland.

The three have applied for a liquor license to open Executive Lounge Gentleman’s Club at 730 N. Old World Third St.

Krahn and Modl hold alcohol licenses for various Silk Exotic Gentlemen’s Club locations. Modl also has a license for the Hideaway Bar & Grill, Okauchee Lake and Lucky Joe’s Alchemy and Eatery, Wauwatosa, according to the application. Buzdum also holds a license for the Dew Drop Inn in Watertown, Buzdum’s Pub and TNT in Germantown and Silk Exotic Madison.

In January, the city’s Licenses Committee heard more than an hour of testimony from neighbors and business owners opposing a strip club at the 730 N. Old World Third St. location before unanimously opposing the proposal.

At that time, Boro Buzdum, of Slinger, wanted to open 10 Exotic. Another member of the family, Dusanka Budzum attempted to renew her license for Rusty’s Old 50 at 730 N. Old World Third St., but was denied by the city.

The space has been occupied by The Velvet Room, Martini Mike’s and most recently Rusty’s Old 50, which was operated by Boro Buzdum’s sister, Dusanka Budzum, who lost her license in 2015 when Milwaukee police found dancers wearing pasties and bikini bottoms and dancing in the bar.

Modl said he and his partners did not want to comment until their license for the space was approved.

The city of Milwaukee has been embattled in lawsuits for denying strip club proposals downtown in recent years.

After spending more than five years in court, the Milwaukee city attorney’s office recommended the Common Council approve a settlement for nearly $1 million with Six Star Holdings, LLC and Ferol, LLC, the entities formed by Silk owner Jon Ferraro and his partners in June.

The city is also facing another lawsuit from Boardroom Entertainment MKE, LLC, which includes members of the Buzdum family.
