Another Firehouse Subs is coming to Waukesha

10th Milwaukee-area franchise targets summer opening

Jacksonville, Florida-based Firehouse Subs will open its second Waukesha location this summer.

The fast-casual sandwich shop will be located at 2720 N. Grandview Blvd., just north of GE Healthcare’s facility. It will be operated by franchisees Kurt Kloba and Bill Rowe, who together own a location in Menomonee Falls and one in New Berlin that opened late last year. Kloba also owns the company’s Wauwatosa location.

“We both live in Waukesha County and have been in the restaurant industry for more than 30 years. We currently have two Firehouse Subs restaurants in the Milwaukee area and are passionate about continuing to grow this brand across the area over the next few years,” Kloba said.

The pair plans to open a location in Oak Creek early next year, he said.

The new Waukesha location will be Firehouse Subs’ 10th Milwaukee-area franchise location and the 20th for the state. The company operates more than 1,135 locations in 44 states, Puerto Rico, Canada and Mexico.

A portion of the proceeds from all Firehouse Subs restaurants goes to the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, which provides lifesaving equipment to first responders, according to its website.
