Not long after buying the UW-Milwaukee Alumni House, businessman Andy Nunemaker has sold another historic mansion in Milwaukee that he owned.
According to state records, Nunemaker recently sold the Vogel Mansion for $1.8 million. It was about the same price he paid for the Alumni House. Both homes are located in Milwaukee’s Historic Water Tower neighborhood.
The Vogel Mansion’s new owners are Kitts Christov and Jeff Johnson.
It was built in 1905 in the Neoclassical style, according to the Wisconsin Historical Society. It has an assessed value of $1.79 million, according to city records.
The 11,000-square-foot home has five bedrooms and five bathrooms, according to an online listing.
Some of its features include 11-foot ceilings, tall French windows, a wine room, lower-level gym, spa, rathskeller, in-ground pool and a two-bedroom coach house, according to the listing.
Nunemaker is vice president of product development for benefits solutions at University Park, Illinois-based Applied Systems and also sits on the board of Milwaukee-based Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co.
He has a track record of restoring Milwaukee-area mansions, including the Vogel Mansion. The Alumni House is his next project. Planned renovations include a full restoration of the first-floor living area and major renovations to the kitchen, basement and second-floor living areas, according to a UWM news release.
