Alterra to open Wauwatosa café

Milwaukee-based Alterra Coffee Roasters plans to open a café in the mixed-use development that replaced the former Locker’s Florist store at 9125 W. North Ave. The three-story development has seven condos and 7,000 square feet of retail space. The Alterra café would occupy about 1,700 square feet of space. Chocolaterie Stam plans to occupy a 1,779-square-foot space. Locker’s Florist owners have indicated they plan to occupy the remaining space, said Wauwatosa planner Tammy Szudy. The floral shop was moved across the street temporarily while the new building was constructed.
