ABC Supply Co. acquires Norandex

Beloit-based ABC Supply Co. Inc. has completed its acquisition of Hudson, Ohio-based Norandex Building Materials Distribution Inc.Deal handshake

Norandex was previously part of Saint-Gobain, one of the world’s largest building materials manufacturers and distributors. Among its products are exterior siding and soffit, manufactured stone, fiber cement, windows, doors, roofing and railings. Norandex’s 103 locations will be folded into ABC Supply’s existing network, and its brand name will be retained.

ABC Supply is the largest wholesale exterior building products company in the country, and now has more than 600 locations in 49 states and the District of Columbia. Its annual sales total more than $6 billion. It was founded by Diane and Ken Hendricks in 1982, and operates several divisions: ABC Supply Catalog Division, American Construction Metals Division, Town & Country Division; and subsidiaries: Amcraft Building Products Co. Inc., Mule-Hide Manufacturing Co. Inc., and Mule-Hide Products Co. Inc.

Last month, ABC acquired the assets of Harrisonburg, Va.-based Storewide Investors Inc. ABC could not provide any further information about its employee base or the transaction.
