Under the leadership of Eric Gass, Ph.D., Milwaukee Area Technical College’s Healthcare Academic and Career Pathway is in excellent shape, according to colleagues, including Laura Bray, vice president of college advancement and communications at MATC.
“With Dr. Gass at the forefront, and through new programs and improved student support, the Healthcare Pathway prepared hundreds of students per semester for health care careers,” said Mary Peters-Wojnowiak, associate dean of MATC’s Healthcare Pathway.
Before becoming Pathway dean, Gass served as interim dean, director of Healthcare Hub Operations and as an associate dean.
Gass also oversees several health care scholarship programs for students in need of financial assistance, including the Froedtert Memorial Hospital Scholarship which covers tuition, required books and supplies, and licensure exams for health care degree students.
“Thanks to Dr. Gass, our students get innovative, immersive clinical experiences. We have a highly skilled health care faculty, and we offer meaningful programs,” said Mohammad Dakwar, Ed.D., vice president of learning at MATC. “Dr. Gass continues to provide excellent leadership in a critical area of education for the region.”
