Action Power Sports, Inc. (APS), a motorcycle dealer, has acquired Brookfield-based Don & Roy’s Cycle Shop, Inc. (which did business as Don & Roy's Motorsports).
Don & Roy’s was a motorsports dealership located at 17740 W. Bluemound Road. Terms of the deal, which closed April 1, were not disclosed. Dallas-based
Generational Equity advised Don & Roy’s Cycle Shop on the deal.
“In closing, Ray and I want to thank all of you for placing your trust, your business, and support in Don and Roy's for 50 years,” reads a Facebook post from owners Ray and Bob Van Zelst.
Founded in 1958, Don & Roy’s sold nearly 100,000 units. The company operated through three major internal profit centers: new and used sales, parts and accessories, and service.
Action Power Sports, located at S14 W22605 Coral Drive, carries products ranging from Can-Am and Polaris ATVs to Honda motorcycles and Ski-Doo snowmobiles. The company also has a powersports financing department, as well as a powersports service center and motorsports parts department.
