Charter Steel announced Wednesday the appointment of
Tom Marry as president of the company. Charter Steel is a division of
Charter Manufacturing that produces wire rod and special bar quality products.

Bob Venable, president and chief operating officer of Charter Manufacturing. “In addition, his experience and leadership style are an excellent fit with our culture and values, which drive the Charter success formula.”
Marry’s experience includes seven years spent as the chief operating officer of Racine-based Modine Manufacturing Co. He has also worked for Milwaukee Tool, Bosch and General Motors.
He has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He has served on the board of directors of the United Way of Racine County.
Charter Steel employs more than 1,300 people in Saukville; Cleveland, Ohio; and Fostoria, Ohio.
