Potawatomi Hotel & Casino in Milwaukee announced today that it is ramping up its recruitment and hiring with plans to fill “hundreds” of positions, and is expanding its $1,000 hiring bonus program to all new hires.
Previously the hiring bonus program, which has been in place for several months, was limited to food and beverage and hotel operations positions.
Potawatomi Hotel & Casino said today it needs to fill “hundreds” of positions throughout the property including food and beverage, slots, housekeeping, security, cage operations and more, and will hold job fairs from 3-7 p.m. on Aug. 31 and Sept. 14.
Benefits offered to employees include a $200 COVID-19 vaccination incentive.
Last week, Potawatomi Hotel & Casino announced that its 500-seat Northern Lights Theater would re-open for live performances on Sept. 23, and that dine-in service would resume at three of its restaurants: Canal Street Café, RuYi and Fire Pit Sports Bar & Grill, on Aug. 19. The theater and restaurant operations were shut down at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in March of 2020, when the entire Potawatomi Hotel & Casino operations were shut down. “This is a pivotal time at our property,” said Potawatomi Hotel & Casino chief executive officer and general manager Dominic Ortiz. “We need hundreds of employees to not only open our amenities, but deliver an experience that’s better and more exciting than anything our guests have come to expect from us.”
